Children in India (discrimination, sexual exploitation, child labor, etc...

The "Issue":

Children in India are being discriminated against, abused, sexually exploited, and forced into Marriage.
Statistics show that 40% percent of women enter into prostitution before the age of 18.

Who's to blame?
  • Parents aren't being responsible. Having more children than can care for. selling own children?
  • The government of India does not protect its children, if there is still child labor, and sex trafficking?
  • Indirectly, the US is promoting child labor by purchasing from any companies that may be employing and abusing children?
  • The wrong doers, are the people not getting involved? Proverbs 3:27 "Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act."
  • The Enemy!

John 3:19 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil."

Conclusion:
We came to the conclusion Thursday, that the #1 cause of this issue is the darkness. Anywhere that the gospel is rarely ever seen, anywhere there is darkness, anywhere there aren't Christians who understand that Christ is the answer, there will be corruption and sin.

What does this mean for Us?

The best most of us can do is pray.
  • Pray that the gospel makes it to the dark places of the world.
  • Pray for the children left broken and fatherless.
  • Pray for the widows and the orphans James 1:27 "...visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and keep oneself unspotted from the world."
  • Pray for the Corrupt and Lost Rulers.
  • Pray for the men and women on the battlefield.
We need to raise awareness!
We must remember that the early church was not a stagnant one!
The early church was a moving and outreaching one!
Deployment was their focus. And Christ known was their message!

Scripture that relates:

Psalm 127 (children)
"...sons are a heritage from the Lord, Children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man who's quiver is full of them..."

Jeremiah 22:3 (doing Justice)
"Thus saith Jehovah: Execute ye justice and righteousness, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppresor: and do no wrong, do no violence, to the sojourner, the fatherless, nor the widow; neither shed innocent blood in this place.
"

Romans 12:15 (Caring about the Oppressed)
"Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.

Isaiah 1:17 (Doing Justice)
Learn to do well; seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Mathew 18:2-5 (Children)
"He called a little child and had him stand among them...who ever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven...But if any one causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."

The BIG Necessity (human waste!?)

The "Issue" :

Human Waste,
2.6 Billion are without proper ways of getting rid of their waste.

Results in...
  • 80% of sickness on earth
  • Leaving our earth's water unclean
  • Us and UK have not perfected the process of separating our waste from our water
  • Effects Issues of energy efficiency and Water pollution, by taking clean drinking water and polluting it with our waste!
What does Scripture say about this?

We are called to be good stewards of what is given to us
  1. “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who live in it” (Psalm 24)
  2. "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." (Genesis 2:15)

  3. "You must keep my decrees and my laws.... And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you." (Leviticus 18:26, 28)

  4. "The land itself must observe a sabbath to the Lord. For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and garner their crops. But in the seventh year the land is to have a sabbath of rest, a sabbath to the Lord.... The land is to have a year of rest." (Leviticus 25:2-5; cf. Exodus 23:10-11)

  5. "The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; with me you are but aliens and tenants. Throughout the land that you hold, you shall provide for the redemption of the land." (Leviticus 25:23-24)

  6. "I brought you into a plentiful land to eat its fruits and its good things. But when you entered you defiled my land, and made my heritage an abomination." (Jeremiah 2:7)

  7. "How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished." (Jeremiah 12:4)

  8. "It will be made a wasteland, parched and desolate before me; the whole land will be laid waste because there is no one who cares." (Jeremiah 12:11)

  9. "Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet?" (Ezekiel 34:17-18)

  10. "There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land. There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land mourns, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the fish of the sea are dying." (Hosea 4:1-3)

  11. "We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time." (Romans 8:22)

  12. "Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field till no space is left and you live alone in the land. The LORD almighty has declared in my hearing: 'Surely the great houses will become desolate, the fine mansions left without occupants. A ten-acre vineyard will produce only a bath of wine, a homer of seed only an ephah of grain.'" (Isaiah 5:8-10)
